Funding Needs for Patient Projects and Programs
Please see below for program descriptions to learn how your donation can support our care for Veterans. You may specify on your donation which area you would like to support.
Unrestricted/General (Fund 604): Fund is used to support a broad range of ongoing patient programs including general patient needs and comfort items. This fund also supports the other patient general post funds when emergency funding is needed.
Social Work Emergent (Fund 605): Funds to this account support emergency needs of our Veterans including lodging, transportation (bus/train), food, clothing, etc.
Christmas/Holiday Gift (Fund 607): Funds are used to provide inpatient Veterans holiday parties and projects during the holiday season.
Recreation (Fund 608): These monies are used to provide recreation activities both on/off station for our hospitalized Veterans. This includes supplies, equipment and other items needed to run the recreation programs.
PTSD Unit (Fund 610): Funds donated to this account support Veterans receiving treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder on our campus. This includes recreation and comfort needs of these Veterans.
Community Living Center: This fund provides recreation therapy and social opportunities for our Veterans involved in long term care programs and inpatient mental health treatment.
Veterans Week (Fund 634): This fund supports activities planned in recognition of Veterans Day.
Hospice (Fund 639): Monies donated to this fund benefit Veterans receiving Hospice care.
Home Based Primary Care (Fund 646): Funds are used to support needs of Veterans who are home bound receiving services from VA Home Based Primary Care.
Homeless Outreach (Fund 648): This fund assists our staff to address needs of our homeless Veterans including meals and basic needs as they seek services.
Women’s Health (Fund 660): Funds are used to provide for needs and activities for our women Veterans.
Mental Health (Fund 668): Funds used to provide supplies for mental health treatment programs both inpatient and outpatient.
Community Living Center Programs (Fund 669): Monies will support special program needs aimed to enhance the quality of life for residents in the Community Living Centers.
