Coatesville VAMC Expands Health Care Services

Veteran sits face-to-face with healthcare provider

CVAMC reintroduces face-to-face care starting 15 June, at its main facility and community clinics to expand access to care for Veterans who have the greatest clinical need.

Tuesday, June 9, 2020

Safety remains the top priority as Coatesville VA Medical Center gradually reintroduces face-to-face care for select health care services starting 15 June, at its main facility and community clinics. We are focused on expanding access to care for Veterans who have the greatest clinical need while ensuring a safe environment for Veterans and employees.

While VA healthcare will look different moving forward, Veterans can continue to rely on their VA health care team for safe, high-quality care.

For the quickest access to care, we ask Veterans to call Coatesville VAMC at 610-383-0239 before visiting their VA clinic for any health care needs.

Virtual & telephone appointments will continue to be offered for the majority of routine visits as appropriate. These options will be discussed when Veterans call to schedule an appointment.

Face-to-face appointments will be available to Veterans who have urgent and time-sensitive needs, if their provider feels it is medically necessary.

Prescriptions will continue to be mailed to Veteran's home. As a reminder, please request refills at least two weeks before you run out of your prescription.

Veterans should be prepared for the safety precautions they will encounter during their visit.

  • All patients, visitors, and employees will enter the facility through the COVID Screening station at the entrance located near parking lot D.
  • All Veterans, visitors, and employees are required to wear a mask or face covering while on-site.
  • Limited visitors. When possible, we ask that Veterans not bring family members or visitors with them to a health care appointment. If you would like to have a family member involved, we can call them and have them on speaker phone during your visit or make other arrangements as needed.

Throughout this reintroduction, safe care is our mission and our continuing commitment to Veterans we serve, our visitors, and employees. For up-to-date information on Coatesville VAMC, please visit
