Coatesville Veterans Affairs Medical Center
Ready, Set, Play!
Construction began and ended Sep. 30 at the Coatesville Veterans Affairs Medical Center to reveal new playground set at the Coatesville Medical Center.
Once the project was approved, David’s Drive 831, a local charity, purchased the equipment and arranged for the installation.
Board President for David’s Drive 831, Dave Turner said, “The request originated as a suggestion from the veterans for something to make visits to the VA more enjoyable for their families. We are proud to honor this request and we hope it brings joy to families.”
The playset and surrounding mulch pit are located next to a popular pavilion and offers an opportunity for children and Veterans to have some fun and play.
“It’s exciting to be able to enhance our spaces to respond to the requests of our Veterans,” said Jennifer Lilly, Chief of Voluntary Services at the Coatesville VA Medical Center.
The coordinated efforts of local charities like David’s Drive 831 create opportunities to connect Veterans and families and improves our VA community.
