If you are the caregiver for a Veteran, you are not alone. Caregiver duties can be challenging, both physically and emotionally. The VA Caregiver Support Program provides a wide array of resources and information on education and training, and ongoing caregiver support group opportunities as well as available services offered for Veterans to include:

  • Adult Day Health Care Services
  • Homemaker and Home Health Aide
  • Home Based Primary Care
  • Home Hospice Care
  • Skilled Home Care
  • Respite Care
  • Home Telehealth
  • Home modifications

Veterans and caregivers with questions about the support available for Veterans to include Parkinson's, dementia, Alzheimer's disease and related disorders, ALS, diabetes, multiple sclerosis; post-traumatic stress disorder and schizophrenia are encouraged to attend.

Attendees will have the opportunity to talk with team members and receive practical information, advice and support about how the program can assist caregivers with the challenges they face every day. Attendees can also attend a question and answer session with the medical center executive leadership.

The Facility Leadership Engagement event will start at 1:30 p.m. and last for approximately 30 minutes to include the question and answer period. The Open House starts at 2:00 p.m. and will end at 4:00 p.m. at the Delaware County CBOC, located at 4883 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073.

Veterans who are not registered with VA will be able to pick up enrollment paperwork during the event. Anyone who has questions on whether this event is right for them should contact the Caregiver Support Program coordinators at (610) 384-7711 extension 3004.
