Psychology Internship Program
The doctoral internship at the Coatesville VA Medical Center in Pennsylvania is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association. Our most recent site visit was in 2016. Our program adheres to the Practitioner-Scholar model, emphasizing the mutuality of science and practice and the practical application of scholarly knowledge.
The Internship currently offers two tracks:
- General Psychology (three positions), providing the greatest flexibility in training (APPIC Match Number 152911); and
- Neuropsychology (two positions), offering specialized training focused in Neuropsychology, balanced with a broader background (APPIC Match Number 152912).
Applicants must be U.S. citizens currently enrolled in an APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology. The Coatesville VAMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and diversity is strongly valued in our internship program. We seek to recruit trainees with diverse cultural backgrounds who share our commitment to providing care that respects the diversity, dignity, and individuality of all Veterans. We prefer candidates who have generalized assessment and psychotherapy training, as well as experience with diverse populations. Those who have VA practicum experience or an interest in a VA career are highly desirable candidates.
Contact Danielle Schade, PsyD, Director of Training, at 610-384-7711, ext. 2614 with any questions.
