Educational Affiliations
During Fiscal Year 2006 and 2007 Coatesville VAMC provided and continues to provide a very active academic affiliations program with on-site internships and work experiences for 212 students, residents, interns/externs and trainees. Students from 18 universities and medical schools are involved in nursing, LPN, nurse practitioner, psychology, podiatry, physician assistant, and social work programs.

Veterans Service Organizations
Coatesville VAMC maintains a good working relationship with all of our veteran service organization (VSO) partners. We regularly brief our VSO representatives on changes impacting veterans' health care.
A Veterans Advisory Council (VAC) has been established which includes stakeholders from a number of veterans groups. The VAC meets quarterly.
US Department of Defense
As a participant in the US Department of Defense TRICARE Program*, Coatesville VA Medical Center serves as the main referral source for women's health and orthopedic specialty appointments.
